Hello Ami,
I have just enjoyed watching your podcast and found it inspiring and entertaining. I do have a question – would you mind saying a little bit about how you plan your days and manage to fit in all your creative activities? I am older than you with three grown-up children but have never really managed to pull in all the creative things I would love to do. I admire the fact that you have a young child to take care of and that yourself and your home look so lovely. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Kind regards
Sue
Sue this is such a lovely message. I think we all feel like we aren’t getting enough done in life don’t we. Trust me some days my house is a bombsite and i really need to wash my hair but I just decide to knit at nap time instead 😉 This is a really interesting area though as i think that a lot of us more creative types are also easily distracted by nature. The best thing I have ever found to try and battle this is the Side Tracked Home Executives box system. I bought the audio book on itunes a few years back and it was so entertaining but it also really helped me structure my days more. I will chat about it in my next podcast 🙂
Thank you! I am looking forward to your next podcast.
Hi Ami
I am enjoying the pod casts. What pattern do you recommend to buy to make my first pair of socks.I can knit I just have never had a go at socks.
Kind regards Margaret
Hi Margaret, thats a tricky one as socks have been such a gradual thing for me. The fine and dandy pattern on ravelry uses the magic cast on and the fish lips kiss heel pattern both of which i always use now. You have to buy the fish lips heel but it is only $1 and it has so much other great info on fitting. Judy’s magic cast on you can just learn on youtube. The fine and dandy are toe up and two at a time on the magic loop but you could always just do them one at a time on double pointed needles. Hope that helps. I love knitting socks! Hope you like it too! Ami x
Hi Ami,
